About

Hey, I'm Kyle - although, the name at the top of the page probably gives that away.

I'm a creative copywriter with over three years of experience in games journalism and a passion for video games, entertainment, and tech. I graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2017 with a BA (Hons) in American Studies and History, and then I went back for more and graduated in with a Creative Writing MA in 2018.

Assassin’s Creed is the key to Kay Vess’ infamy in Star Wars Outlaws

From what we’ve seen so far, Massive Entertainment and Ubisoft’s Star Wars Outlaws is shaping up to be a true delight for fans of A Galaxy Far, Far Away and an exciting open-world adventure for PS5 and Xbox players. It’s without a doubt my most-anticipated game of 2024, should it stick to that release window, of course. However, if there’s one thing I want to see, it’s a certain feature from Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series that I think is the perfect fit for the story Outlaws is trying to tell

Horizon 3 needs characters like Burning Shores’ Seyka as much as Aloy

When it comes to collecting my thoughts on the Horizon Forbidden West Burning Shores DLC, I really do have nothing but good things to say about it. Graphically, Guerrilla Games continues to surprise me with how breathtakingly beautiful this open world RPG is – and the studio is still delivering some of the best animation work out there right now. Mechanically, this feature-rich RPG continues to challenge with new Machines and blockbuster combat sequences that you can’t help but want more of. How

Assassin’s Creed Mirage review – proof that bigger isn’t always better

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is a truly outstanding game. It delivers on its promise of paying homage to the original release, but does so in a way that elevates itself to a new standard. The characters are charming, complex and engaging. The story is impactful, compact and compelling. And, the gameplay is so satisfying, reactive and rewarding. Mirage is everything you could want from an Assassin’s Creed game and truly satisfying from start to finish.

After a slightly longer interval than usual, Ubi

How Respawn gave Jedi Survivor the most eclectic Star Wars music yet

Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi Survivor is without a doubt one of the best PS5 Star Wars games – and, of course, best Xbox Star Wars games – ever, and there are quite a few reasons why. From compelling Star Wars Jedi Survivor characters and a gripping narrative to rewarding combat mechanics and fantastic customization options, this game really does build on every aspect of Jedi Fallen Order to deliver something of a masterpiece.

However, one thing we think deserves more attention is the

Evil Dead The Game’s devs on their vision, the horror game, and beyond

Saber Interactive’s asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Evil Dead The Game has been out a whole year now – that’s a whole year of players going toe-to-toe with Deadites and Kandarian Demons as the iconic Ash Willaims and his pals. Now, though, after a handful of content updates, a new Castle Kandar map, and the introduction of Splatter Royale, fans of this cult classic franchise can enjoy a bloody good time that bundles all of the game’s content into one neat GOTY-labelled package. But, how did

GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition Review: "Feels Like An Insult"

As we crumble into dust at the realisation Grand Theft Auto 3 turns 20 this year, Rockstar Games has decided to celebrate with yet another re-release of this classic title. Like last time, though, it's being released alongside Vice City and San Andreas - these three games have been known as The Trilogy for some time now. It might feel like Rockstar Games is trying to make a quick buck while we're waiting for the Expanded and Enhanced version of Grand Theft Auto 5, but this isn't just the same ga
